Buffalo, New York

Buffalo will be in full spring bloom at conference time, and will surprise you with its beauty and attractions. Architecture buffs love Buffalo, as its streets feature masterworks by some of the country’s most revered architects, and one of the finest collections of late 19th and 20th century homes found anywhere. Most visitors are astounded to find National Historic Landmarks by the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Sullivan and H.H. Richardson. They are blown away by one of the great collections of modern and contemporary art in the world at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, delighted by the birthplace of Buffalo Wings at the legendary Anchor Bar, amazed by the home of the American Arts & Crafts Movement at the Roycroft Campus, and captivated by the 19th century mansions lining Frederick Law Olmsted parks and parkways. Nearby Niagara Falls provides the opportunity to experience the beauty, power (renewable energy!) and history of this natural wonder, where one-fifth of the world’s fresh water comes crashing down thirteen stories. You can also easily visit our neighbors to the north— Canada is just over the bridge.
